Unemployment Rate in Northern Virginia
As per Bureau of Labor Statistics the unemployment rates(data from Nov. 2009) in the Virginia rate is signification lower than the rest of the country. Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, DC-VA-MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area where the unemployment rate is 6.1 and overall Virginia unemployment rate is at 6.9 (Dec 2009).
The numbers show the strong local economy. With the $8000 first time home buyer tax credit / $6500 for existing home buyer has created once again a multiple bid housing market for our area.
